Let me begin by introducing myself to you, my name is Linda Henning Gansler and I am first and foremost a Mother of 4 and wife to my husband Karl. We are a Military family and understand the difficulties of Military life and adoption can hold. I will be writing a post about this very topic soon. Karl and I have 4 beautiful children; we completed an international adoption by adopting two children from Liberia West Africa, ages 7 years (son) and 18 months (daughter) and we also have two biological kiddos, a boy (12) and girl (7), at the time of the adoption. Being an Adoption professional and therapist I thought going into this adoption I was well prepared for what was in store. I was very wrong. Over the past 11 years I have learned so much about, adoption, attachment, grief, loss, RAD to just name a few.
My passions since my graduation from college has been adoption. I love to tell the story that I missed my own Masters level graduation, because I completed a finalization of a domestic adoption instead. It was the best decision I could ever make. Watching that family’s adoption be completed and finalized locked in my passion for the field. These past 24 years have brought me to this place. I feel now I am prepared to be the teacher, therapist, and adoption professional I have worked so hard to be. My adopted children came to us with medical and psychological issues that have taken us years to work though and we continue to do so, RAD being the main issue with both my children. RAD is a life long condition that is just now being more and more understood by the medical and psychological community.
In 2009, I opened my first adoption agency. After years of working for other agencies in every position possible it was time. Adopt Triad Consultants, INC. was born in Colorado. 9 years later it is time for Bright Star Adoptions, LLC to be born. I am thrilled to be partnering with Paul D. Peterson ESQ. We already have an established professional relationship and work and think very much the same. Birth Parents and Families come first. We look forward to working with you and we hope that our blogs will be informative for you and your family.
